Can anyone help, I really like the kit that ck3 was offering but now that I have the money to buy a kit, they are gone.
Does anyone know where I can get a testarossa, 512 or a similar ******* kit that is a similar to the real thing as CK3 had.
Or does anyone know if they are trading under a new name or has someone bought the moulds for their kits.

As far as I know, Ck3 didn't really offer any kits. They did put up pictures of real cars and claim they were kits that they offered. It's good that they're gone, and even better that you didn't gvie them any money, or you would have had a significantly different post than the one you made.

Actually CK3 did offer kits and to be quite honest they were among the best I personally have ever seen. The product was absolutely amazing, however the business end of things were much to be desired.

To the best of my Knowledge Blaine Kennedy is currently being persued by numerous former customers for taking the money and running. In one case I know of a gentlman who paid for 5 Kits and only recieved 4. The molds for his 355 are apparently being negotiated through a mediator (at least that's what I last heard) I believe the ck3 version of the 355 will be available eventually again under a Newer, and much smarter group of builders. For now the Ultimate 355 on the market today BAR NONE in my opinion is the Mirage or the AD 355.

I stand by my statment that Ck3 really didn't offer any kits. As backup, here's a link:

http://www.kitcar.com/consumeralert/home.html#anchor-Ck3

And if you look at ANY of their advertisements, they used the real cars as picture models. I have also heard that the fiberglass wasn't all that great either. There's a gentleman out here who has a Ck3 body for sale; the body is cockeyed, there's places where there's nothing but resin (no glass), and it came cracked, late and incomplete.

From the quality I've seen, I'd say that Ck3 didn't make a particularly good product...and didn't deliver it.

Well if you know a guy who has one... how can you say that Ck3 never produced a kit?

Personally I seen the White Convertable Testarossa At the New Westminster Quay (pernounced Key) in New Westminster BC. It was on its way to Japan I believe. I looked under it, in it and loved it ...except for one thing The engine overheated far to quicky as it was only idleing.

One of the only few cars to reach customers that paid for one. I know one who has the Koenig replica and the 355 Replica... both are nice cars. But the man behind the company was Far to greedy, He wouldn't even pay his employees. I live in Calgary and have seen the few rare examples of Ck3. But bottom Line if you have communications with Blaine... Run away!!!

Here is one of my first websites Before I opened the Powerhouse. I tried to aqire the 355's from them and it never panned out as he did his best to try and scam me ove as well....

http://www.geocities.com/f360rs/f355.html

You can read up more on my personal dealing with Blaine as well ...

http://www.kitcar.ca/yabbse/index.php?board=6;action=display;threadid=1079

Bottom Line... DONT BUY FROM BLAINE....
To date the best 355 Replica Bar none is the AD (Air Dynamics) 355

Thanks for all the info. I guess that the kit car industry in North America is one to be cautious of. I myself am in England and the industry is growing more and more into mainstream car manufacturing. And the companies that I have had dealings with are nice and professional.

For you 360wanna_be I’m familiar with BAD design they seem to be a very professional company, but their replica is not close enough to the real thing for me. Does AD offer a soft top version of their car and do they have an interior kit? What are the dimension of the car like?

360wanna_be do you have a name?!?!?!?!?!? You seem to be very familiar with the kit car market maybe you can answer a few questions for me. I just saw some pictures of the Murcielago Roadster is that in the replica market yet? What about the Gallardo? And for that matter, the new Mercedes SLK?!?

Thanks for you help

The roadster should be ready any day now, As for th Gallardo.. I have heard many people wanting one and few thinking of making one. But as of yet nobdy has one.

There is a new Mercedes Kit for the SLR but they have yet to respond to any emails I send. Could be because I don't speak or write polish.

Personally the 2nd(newer) version of B.A.D. Designs MR2 355 I think is extremely well put together. The first version left much to be desired. They do not make a spyder version.

MEAT,if you know someone with a bad ck-3 body it was most likely a copy, the four ck-3 bodies i recieved were great, super glass work, and fit perfect the problem was blaine kennedy not the guys out back making the parts,he liked to take your money and run!!including his employee's pay,i was lucky though,i actually recieved 4 of the five kits i paid for.

Hi, just to bring up a dead issue!

Is there anyway of contacting Blaine Kennedy to buy the moulds for his kits or has someone already done this...I’m very interested in the testarossa or the 512 moulds...as can be seen from this topic discussion they were known to be good, and if they are good then there is money to be made if you have the right business strategy
Thanks for you help

Ihave heard 2 things regardsing the 512 molds.
1) they were sold at an auction and went overseas.

2) I heard that a former customer is working to get them through mediatiors and lawyers in exchange for not sueing.

guess i will not be going into the kit car business just yet then!!! if you hear anything else let me know, because i really had my heart set on his 512, even if it means becoming the owner of the moulds.

Do you know which action it was sold at, i'll track 'em down!!
