Mike Blake, the editor of Kit Car, once said that it was only a matter of time until they made a Delorean kit. I can sooooo see myself as the Kit Car editor now; they'll hire anyone!
There will never be a Delorean kit car. The reason is because it would be cost prohibitive. If you can get the real car for $10K, there's no reason to make a kit of it. The average price for a used 1982 Delorean is $12.5K. There is one for sale for $10K that I know of, and two for $14K that I know of.
