i have a fiero with the 2.8 V6 in it. i want to put the 3.1 stroker kit into it, but i already have the engine bored with new pistons rings and rods, i wanted to see if i could just throw a 3.1L crankshaft into it or if i need 2 change anything else. Is it that simple? what else do i have to do for this to work?Ground Zero Performance & Liquid Productions |

The short answer is no you can't. The long answer is no because boring takes metal from the sides of the cylinders, were as a stroker kit increases the length of the stroke, so the dimensions won't line up and you will have a bad seal, which is not good. So yes you will have to change alot, or sea if you can find a stroker kit to fit!!Hope this helps Your mate in OZ Dave

You may need different rods, but I don't see why not. Check with the experts at Pennock's. www.fiero.nl Personally, I'd pull the engine and put in a 3.4.http://mywebpages.comcast.net/rrabine2/ |

EH all....so u want to use the 3.1 crank..ok no problem..but u allready bored the block out....i dont know if the pistons u hav r the same that r used in the 3.1 block.....if they r not u hav to hav some custom pistons made up...if they r right,,,u got it..now how big did u bore it out?? with the 3.31 inch stroke ur engine can range from 3.1l to 3.32l [:d]
