I've watched this discussion go on on a few different websites, and figured that I should chime in on this one site, just so everyone knows how very serious safety is with these cars.

Here's your brain:

Here's your brain on stupidity:

From published accounts, the car was street racing a late-model black Trans Am when it lost control and crashed, flipping several times. The driver is dead. The passenger is in the hospital.

There are two videos showing this car street racing in the dark, and performing a burnout and an exhibition of speed on a public road:

The cars we are building are sometimes capable of supercar levels of performance, and should be treated with respect. You shouldn't street race, and you should never drive beyond the capabilities of yourself and your vehicle or you will die.

Take race classes, and if you feel the need for speed, take it to a track, take safety classes, and do not do stupid things on public roads with your high performance automobile.

Your pal,
Meat.

Street Racing is extremely dangerous. A few years ago, I was a street racer. Quite good actually, but there was one night that I remember and it was also the last time I ever raced. I lost 2 of my best friends when they lost control of their Skyline GTR and hit and concrete pilon at almost 160km/h (100mph). They both were killed instantly. I was there, I saw it happen. I had to do their ulergies (sorry can't spell), speak on how they were good people, and they were my mates. It took quite a while for me to even get into a car.

The moral of this story is don't be stupid, racing is for race tracks, so keep it there. Please!!!

Your mate in OZ

Dave
