From published accounts, the car was street racing a late-model black Trans Am when it lost control and crashed, flipping several times. The driver is dead. The passenger is in the hospital.

The cars we are building are sometimes capable of supercar levels of performance, and should be treated with respect. You shouldn't street race, and you should never drive beyond the capabilities of yourself and your vehicle or you will die.
Take race classes, and if you feel the need for speed, take it to a track, take safety classes, and do not do stupid things on public roads with your high performance automobile.
