The well known British kit-car builder Paul Banham is about to bring out a new, easy to build economy version kit of the Jaguar XK120. The kit will be based on the old 3 series BMW. They claim that a reasonable example can be built for around 3500 Pounds, (5000 Euros). Most other XK replicas cost four times that amount to build. Is it possible to build a decent XK120 replica for that amount ?

Part of the reason the price is so cheap is that old 3 series bemmers can be picked up for about 50 GBPounds in the UK. You try getting one for that here!
