I am in the market for a new car, but I'm bored with all the cars I have been finding. I want to find something "different" and so I though a kit kit car would be the way to go. I'm not looking for anything specific, as long as it's within my $4K price range, i'm open for anything. I don't mind something that needs a little "tlc" but it will be my daily driver, so it needs to be mechanically sound and "legally" driveable. Otherwise I don't mind doing some work, but want to keep it to mostly cosmetic type stuff. Obviously I would prefer something I don't have to put work into, but i'll take what I can get. I am in WA but location is not a big issue, I can come get I can it, or have it shipped. But I can only spend $4,000 tops right now, but if you have anything in that price range, please contact me, and let's talk. Like I said I'm pretty open, so...here's hoping! -jesse (jesse@xencreative.com) |

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but $4,000 is not going to get you anything "interesting." You can not even get most kits (not including the donor vehicle) for under $8,000. Then you have to be a decent builder to put it all together.Unfortunately, $4,000 does not always buy you a sound used car either. Best advise: work hard, save your money, and buy a reliable used car when you can afford a better one. Until you can afford to spend between $15 and $20k on a decent turnkey kit, or around $12k on a donor and a kit package you are just fooling yourself.
