How about the 3800 V6 Supercharged engine? I think it puts out somewhere around mid 200hp (stock). They run pretty cheap and is a pretty simply bolt in. Good Luck DiabloVT_Racer

The engine is made by pontiac and comes in the Grand Prix. I don't know if it is the fastest V6, but it isn't that expensive for the horspower you get out of it. Plus you can always send it into a race shop and have them do the whole works and you would probably get it up to 400hp. Hope this helps. DiabloVT_Racer

I forgot to mention, With the Northstar (V8) you can only mount it up to a automatic trans and with the 3800 Supercharged you can mount it to both. I am not sure why this is. Does anybody out there know? Thanks DiabloVT_Racer

The northsrar V8 probably wont bolt up to the manual because Cadi's use different manual transmissions and require a longer manual transmission shaft. You could also use a 3.2L DOHC V-6 from a CTS, a little more expensive but alot more horsepower potential.
