I went to the show this year, saw lots of nice cobras, a handful of exotics and one new kit for MR2s. I came away dissapointed in the show, I wasn't expecting the Detroit Auto Show or the Chicago show by any means but this seemed skimpy and fairly unorganized. Was this a bad year, or was this normal for the show?

Thank you!

This is the 3rd time I've been to this show and I thought this was the best year yet.

I've pretty much been to the show every year for as long as I can remember. I did like it better when it was in the dirt under the trees, but the guys who were exhibiting weren't all that pleased with the amount of dust thrown up by the other cars and the visitors.

The Knotts show generally is representative of whats on the market, and what people want. You see alot of Cobras, because alot of people want Cobras. You see bunches of Porsche 550s/Speedsters because people want speedsters.

When I was at the show, I saw a Murci replica, an F40 Silhouette, a MG that used a Miata for a donor, a bunch of Diablos, Countachs, GT40s, an F50, and a bunch of other cars. Even the guy with the $15-a-day Diablo was there.

Contrary to popular internet believe, not all that many people are interested in the exotics. They're interested in the classics.

If it's any consolation, there'll be a bunch more cars at Carlise.

Your pal,
Meat.

I wasn't that disapointed. I saw the cars I wanted but I was suprised I didn't see more Hummer kits and GT40's. All in all I would say it was pretty good. Atleast it didn't rain on Sunday.

The show this year was kinda disappointing. I guess if your in the cobras than this show would have been good. But im more into exotics. I like the new stuff people make. We only had 4 Diablos. I cant remember if they was any *******'s. I was there on Sat only. I did wanted to see the attack kits. So i guess I was expecting more.

I would have like to see the Murci, it wasn't there on Saturday. I have not heard of the $15/day Diablo. When is the Carlise show and where is it?

Where there more cars at the Knotts show on Sunday than on Saturday? I saw 3 Lambos, the F40 and F50, Gt40s, Scorpion, MR2 kit and the Cobras, but not the others Meat mentioned. They must have come late Saturday or on Sunday.

The Murci was there on Saturday. It didn't show up until 11ish, though.

I thought this show was a bit light on Cobras, and heavier on the exotics than in previous years. What I'd like to see, though, is more of the exotics actually driven to the show, rather than trailered. I find nothing more attractive on a car than a few bug hits, maybe a bit of road rash, and seeing the tires shaved a bit from 'enthusiastic' driving around the twisties. The cars I love aren't statues, they're tributes to man's blood, sweat and imagination. They are love, they are passion, they can move you through their lines, their sultry idle, and their roaring thunder that you feel throughout your body and down deep in your soul.

Pretty cars are pretty cars...driven pretty cars are just downright ***Y!

Meat.
