I have an older issue of Kit Car Illustrated and read an ad from Tri-State Motorsports that offered 3 day clinics to build a cobra from frame to finished car. I have emailed them to see if they still offer the service but did not receive a reply yet. I would like to know if there are any other companies that offer similar programs as I have a 20 year old son who thinks he wants to build a kit but I would like him to see the process before I invest in a kit. He is very good mechanically and has plenty of ambition so I am considering it but would like for him to attend a build seminar 1st. If anyone can steer me to a place I would appreciate it greatly. I am on the west coast but would send him accross the country if it is the only alternitive.Thanks..... |

The FFR build class is an excellent idea; the car is easy to assemble, and you can learn how the systems of the car all interact with each other. I'd certainly recommend it to the first time kit builder. Your pal, Meat.
