I am looking for your views and help to build this. We have funds but not the experience. So any sensible offers of help would be great.

I'd certainly help if I were back in the UK.
I do think you'd be better off using your cad data to have the car machined from solid though. I've been involved in both and the difference in accuracy is amazing. Trying to get the chassis to tie in to the body on a shape such as yours will be really difficult without the cad. Also it will cost about the same as the length of time spent in man hours. Don't believe me? You wait till you try it!
