Im just curious to know if there are people out there who are building their cars from scratch. I mean no donor car, you build frame, chassis, body etc. all by your self. How hard is it to construct a good yet lightweigh chassis? |

Yes, but not a great deal. I know of one guy in S.F bay area making a GTO with a C5 vett as a donner, he is using some premade body parts.I just got notice of a guy selling hummer plans, I'm into my "third revision" drawings for a space frame front engine roadster type, no body yet but I'm leaning to the foam core process for the first one, a lot of the Locost guys make their own frames from book plans, not a lot of body to those, so I know there has to be others. Keep searching the web and you will find them.Paul
