Hi folks! I was wondering if anyone here has recent experience with UV-activated resins. I'm formulating a plan/cost sheet for a custom car build based on a tube chassis. I was looking at FibreGlast and some of the other composite suppliers and then I found a place called SunRez (www.sunrez.com). Cost is in their favor comparing their UV-resins versus the same quantity of resin + catalyst. I'm not 100% sure of the material strength using SunRez, but there appear to be quite a few advantages. Increased pot life, longer lay-up time, shorter cure time, and greater composite thickness (using a high-powered UV source). Opinions?

Hmm I don't know much about fiberglass, but Fiberglast has a decent forum up (http://www.fibreglast.com/phpBB2/index.php). Don't talk about their competitors and you'll be OK :)Go to Top of Page
