I will be purchasing a FFR Type 65 once my 1969 Mustang convertible is sold. I want to convert to 5-lug, and have obtained the front suspension from a mid-90's lincoln LSC with airbags. How much can I use? Can I use the entire spindle assy and lower control arm (brand new) with brakes, or which specific pieces?

I also have an 88GT as my donor car, and have heard about Ranger / Areostar rear axles to convert to 5-lug. Can someone explain in full?

Lastly, what are the current procedures for titling one?

Thanks!
Dan

As a matter of fact I just converted my ffr to five lug last week. The reason is because I wanted to use Cragar SS wheels. They look great on the car! 8-15 /225 60r in front and 10-15/265 50 in the rear. I used lincoln rotors (bought new at Kragen (52.00+tax) and the axles at the local wrecking yard (Left ranger and drums..85.00+tax for all four pieces). It took me about 40minutes total to do the conversion. It took me longer to put the gear lube in the rearend than the conversion part, then I went and got a hand pump at Pep boys for 5 bucks and did it in about 3 minutes. good luck, Yvonne

How do you like your FFR. I've been considering buying one of their kits as soon as I sell my 01 Lightning.
