Well...um...I'd go wtih 'caveat emptor' on that baby.

I'm sure that it's a nice kit and all, but there's just too much in the way of Photoshop done to those pictures for me to want to bid anything on the kit. I'm also going to question whether the two pictures of a silver 'completed' car are actually pictures of the kit, or if they're pictures of a real car.

It does look like there's at least a splash of a mold made...but I would never buy a kit from ebay sight unseen unless I knew it inside and out.

And with those pictures, it's waaaaaaay too iffy to think about.

Your pal,
Meat.

This replica is actually built by the same makers of the 360 replica. Due to the highly & likely chance of Audi comming after them, they need to be more creative and careful about selling thier products. So... they are being sold through re-sellers/suppliers/distributors/brokers like www.powerhousesports.net, the group in the auction (12cylinders), Plus a few others "claiming" to make the kit when all they will do is distribute. I can tell you the REAL builder is Highly qualified and has built some of the best replicas you have seen currently. His reputation is solid. That being said, It's the re-sellers/suppliers/distributors/brokers you have to worry about. Find someone you are comfortable with. Ultimately, it has to be a win/win situation for both the customer and the supplier.

Ok here's the deal on the Powerhouse. We are a brokerage that specailizes in Exotics and Specailty vehicles only. You will notice that in the full details of the kits and turnkeys it sells, It clearly states that the Powerhouse doesn't build any parts or completed vehicles. Exotic Glass will currently be the only US. Builder of the Murci that the Powerhouse will use. Why? Thier quality and reputaion are among the highest Quality and Best in this Industry.

The Powerhouse NEVER will use photos of real authentic vehicles to promote any Replica or Specailty vehicle. What you see is what you get. I do recall recieveing Pictures of an Authentic McLaren and being told it was the replica turnkey. To this date nobody has ever seen the turnkey nor a COMPLETE kit package. advertisers of the Murci have been using authentic murci photos to represent the the new kit when kit package compared to the real thing are clearly different.

Yes I run the Powerhouse. I have always said, Find somebody your are comfortable with to do business with. Both parties need to feel the relationship will be a win/win situation for both.

Thanks Robert for advising me of the builder. The builder is also among the Best this Industry has seen. Clearly, with the newest and best cars comming to market, these builders need to be more creative in thier efforts to provide us addicted enthusiasts with the cars we desire.

Until then happy hunting and look forward to the Roadster Murci making its debut in roughly 2 months. Plus an EXACT 360 based on the corvette this summer!
