The question is easy: any information about a Miura (P400, S, SV or Jota) kit, replica or turnkey?ronsupercar told me that an European company was selling them. Any info about that? |

The Miura-kit was made by by a company in England called Prova. They made this, and a Countach-kit. They are now out of the kitcar business, but the Miura is taken over and being refined and soon on the market again by another UK company called Lamberti Classic Cars. They can be reached on: www.Lamberti.co.uk or by mail: mail@lamberti.co.uk. Have done business with them, as I now build a Countach-replica, and their parts are first class.

The Lamborghini Miura is a GORGEOUS car! I got to re-watch the original Italian Job just recently, and they start off with an orange Miura winding up a mountain road. It's sooooo beautiful! The movie sucked (and the remake had nothing at all to do with the original, other than at one point Marky Mark says "We do it like the Italian Job."), but hte car was worth watching.Your pal, Meat.

Has anyone been able to get a price guide, photo or some positive feedback on build options from lamberti? They must consider me a "banker" since they wouldn't send me anything, even after my offer to send cash for a build guide. How many of the Prova kits were completed? Are any of the owners active at the club level and have some info/advise/photo's/web to share? What kind of interest is out there for the miura? There seems to be plenty of resouces for cobra/gt40/dino/diablo etc but next to nothing on the Miura. How many would take a serious look if a reputable kit for a SV was available now? Has anyone got scans of Miura factory blue prints or other build resources that they would like to pool?

The only thing I've got is from a model kit:
The company - Lamborghini - has a complete set of plans, and people have used them in the past to make replicas (which seems a bit like too much work to me). But, since there are already complete cars out there, it seems to me like it would be far less work to actually make a mold from a real one and 'make it fit' on another chassis - either custom or as a rebody kit...The Fiero is too tall. Your pal, Meat.
