Hey guys I was wanting some info on the best way to beef up my 86 Fiero SE 2.8L V6 with auto trans. I'm mapping out my budget to build a F-355 kit and I don't want my car to be all show and no go if you know what I mean. I know I could do an engine swap with a Northstar if I had the money but there in lies the problem...MONEY... I would like to keep the engine that I have it runs good with only 67k original miles on it. Guys if you have some ideas how to pull some more horses out of it I would greatly appricate it. My budget for beefing up the engine is $2,000. Also if you have any brake and suspension ideas I would love to hear them.

Thanks

OK lets start with the basics. pisa corp www.cybercars.com/mnfr/pisa4.html" target="_blank">http://www.cybercars.com/mnfr/pisa4.html sells a stroker kit for the 2.8 adding a extra 25 or so HP for a $1000.00 for the automatic. Now with that im sure you are gonna want a custom exhaust to give it a mellow sound figure $400-$500. And of course you will need a little "extra" for misc parts and stuff. ok there is the $2000 you speak of. Brakes pisa also offers a brake kit www.cybercars.com/mnfr/pisa1.html" target="_blank">http://www.cybercars.com/mnfr/pisa1.html and the suspention kit. Now these are just examples and you may be able to get it cheaper. i suggest you put a little more away for the drivetrain and go with a superchaged 3800 or a 3.4 Twin Dual Cam V-6 swap. you can see those at www.westcoastfiero.com" target="_blank">http://www.westcoastfiero.comfor ideas on whats involved.

Hope this was at least a little bit of help to you
