Well I have just finished the plug...sorta. I want to make mine without any molds, and i made the eggcrate frame, filled it with foam, and covered it with palster....now what?

(remember NO molds)

You would have to post pics and be much more specific to get much info. If you model is full scale and you are planning to make it out of fiberglass then you need to sand the plaster til it is smooth as you want the final product to be. Then you must apply a release agent and apply several coats(4-5) of fiberglass mat with resin. I would suggest buying a book to learn about the application and precautions. The problem you are going to have is that you will have to destroy your plug to get your body off or make your body in several pieces that will pull off of the plug. Once that is done you can spray it down with duratec fairing primer to give you a sandable surface. Sand til you can paint it to a mirror finish. If your plaster is already to that point then you probably would be better off just doing a female mold and then pulling a male mold. It would be better for your plug, plus you could make more copies if you decided to later.

Well, you see the plaster is as smooth as I need it, and one person told me to pur a pice of thin clay between the sections of fiberglass (you know like flanges in between the sections), so it will remove in sections. Also what kind of agent should i use to remove it easier?
