Ive decide to start building kit cars. I love working on cars and doing custom body work and such so I figured Id really enjoy making kit cars. What can I do to find out what I need to know? Where can I get good beginner info? Ive searched online but search engines just dont work sometimes and this is one of those times. Also, what is a key car?

Thanks
Rob

A turnkey is a car that you get in and drive...all you have to do is turn the key and go.

A turnkey-minus is a car that is complete and finished - except for the drivetrain, and probably wheels and tires. Once the drivetrain is installed, then the car is finished.

A kei car is a car that is no greater than 660ccs in displacement and is made almost exclusively for the Japanese market.

Your pal,
Meat.

Heh awesome, I always wanted to know what a 'K' (Kei) car was. People on the GRM (grassrootsmotorsports.com) forum talk about them every once in awhile.

You learn something every day. Thanks Meat.
