I have spoke with the owner of the vehicle. He is willing to show the vehicle. The exterior looks very good but i havnt seen a interior if a GT. All its missing is the embles. Do a search engine on any site and find a GT pictures this car is very exact.

He had one of these cars at the Knotts show and it was absolutely stunning. The body was perfect, the interior was great, and it didn't look like a 'kit' car when I saw it. The only thing I really thought was cheesy on the first car was that it had these 'fake disc brake" things on the wheels. Didn't like that at all, but they could have been replaced.

The car I saw was a quality unit. If this one is as nice that that one was, then you're looking at a beautiful work of art.

Your pal,
Meat.

...if it's all the same to you, I'm only going to answer that question once, okay?

There was a piece behind the wheel on the car, covering the drum brake, that was meant to replicate the look of a drilled disc brake rotor. I do not know if this is exactly the part used, but it looked alot like this:

I've never put anything on a car that didn't make it go faster, so it took me awhile to find this picture. It's made by American Auto and is called a "drum brake cover." They also make them in red and blue. This picture is from Super Street Store.

Your pal,
Meat.

I saw the Knotts car at a private location and the exterior was excellent. The only problem I saw was that the doors were restricted to open the standard amount because of the hinge location vs. fender width hitting the new door skin. While I have not seen the inside of the actual Prosche GT, the Knotts car could have used a little more refinement. The several I have seen on eBay had more interior detail. Did you see the new top for the Porsche GT in AutoWeek? The person you are asking about has been featured in Kit Car Magazine and his picture is on the other kit car .com site.

If you really like the Carrera GT then you can have something similar. There is a German company called
SEIDL which makes a bodykit that bolts on to a Porsche Boxter and turns it into a Carrera GT Supercar lookalike.
The finished car is not a 100% replica because the Boxter is shorter in length than the real GT, but most people can`t tell the difference. It looks stunning.

Hello.. I know this person from CA you are talking
about. I won't give any personal info out on him, other than
he built the molds for the Carrera GT "which I've seen" and the finished product is Amazing! The over all dimenions are extremely
close. I do agree, the interior is not perfect because Porsche has
not yet decided what to finish the production car with. I will say,
the quality of the fiberglass on this replica is the best I've seen.
or worked with. So to some what answer your question, This Replica
and Person you speak of are very real. A Very Nice and honest Person too :)
