Why is the new 360 kits buit on a MR-2, and not with a Fiero?I feel the Fiero has proven itself as a great platform for any mid engine reproduction. THe only problem I have w/the MR-2 as a donor is to purchase one for $20,000 and then use it for a kit.. I know you can get it cheaper w/damage, but come on... Is there anyone else that builts a 360 out of a fiero?? just asking. |

I am not afraid to tell anyone I can locate the kit for them. I do not build kits, I do not stock kits, i do not make kits. I am a broker with Numerous contacts of private individuals making these products. Turnkey or kit form can be had as long as you know where to source them out.

To return to original subject: Why is the MR2 a better donor? Simply because of the fact that Fiero is old. Very old (15-19 Years). Cars of that age require enormous amounts of repairs, so in the end you don't give much less $$$ than for an MR2. Besides, you can get the latest model of the MR2 (2000 and later) for as little as 7000$ (well at least in Europe, where I come from) and with only minor cosmetical damage. Check it on www.mobile.de !!!

If it were you, it wouldn't matter...they don't make body kits for Matchbox or Hot Wheels cars. Your pal, Meat.

You're the one who can't stop being a kid; you're twelve. Back to the original question: The MR2 is a 'much better platform than the fiero' based on WHAT? Your extensive Hot Wheels collection? Geez. Your pal, Meat.

the fiero is a proven platform and with v-8 power can perform very well but the mr2 has a better designed suspension and will handle better....as far as why the new kits are for the mr2 idk..it could be something as simple as the wheelbase is better matched or the mounting points are better for the body panels...i would call the manufacturer and ask someone in tech...cause there must be a reason.

Will anyone discuss or list the points on which stock MR2s would "out-do" Fieros (or, vice-versa) with regards to suspension performance? DEFINITIVE and DETAILED POINTS, Please. |

hiI would like to say that in my eyes I find the MR2 as the best donercar. it has the dimensions and the right sound already, on top of that it drives like a real sportscar. its right that the MR2 looks very real but you can never make a 4 cyl engine sound like a *******. if both cars is perfectly done, I would say the Fiero is no.1 Bye the way you can have many 355 kits for the pice of 1 MR2 kit. I belive the a doner Fiero is also cheeper than a MR2 in the states. it is right you can find a "cheap" toyota on www.mobile.de(germany) but try to search for a Pontiac as well =)
