What would be the most exact lamborghini kits? and the easliest to put together?? and the quality of the product! Any idea why people dont build V12 Motor, I seen Canadian custom built a running chassis with a V12, looks very authetic.

The reason why V12s is not used more often isprobably that they too expensive. I would also like to have a V12 in my future kitcar. Ive found two engines that looks good (and expensive), the Falconer V12 (www.falconerengines.com) and the Northstar VX12. I dont know their price yet though I have requested info about the Falconer V12.

http://www.lambolounge.com/index.htm

He is going all out and it looks fantastic.. This is what I would use if I were looking for a V12..

Thanks Guys, I actually have seen their product but the cost of a running chassis which is from Canadian Custom Design is 40K with a BMW V12. It looks very authetic. The pic is shown on Lambolounge. I have done research and its too complicated to put a V12 together. Any more ideas????

I hate to sound obvious but why not use a v8 or v6. much easier and cheaper to get power out of. I have seen engine covers that mimic the real lambos put on a v8 and it looks terrific.
If you have to have a v12 you might consider the jaguar. I have seen several of the late 70's early 80's xj's going for less than $1500 for the complete car.
One thing to consider is that you don't only have to consider the initial cost of the engine but what it cost to fix it when it breaks down.
good luck

OK Im no stranger to the idea of using a V8. Im probably a bit nuts but the engine I want in my kitcar should have 600hp+ ( hey looks arn't everything, its the inside that counts) Now what modern V8 would you guys suggest I shoud use?

A corvette LS1 could be built to produce that but it depends on what budget you are on. An older 350TPI would be a more affordable choice. You also have to figure on a transaxle. No fiero tranny will come even close to handling that power. You can expect to pay more for your tranny than you will for your engine if you plan on having that much power.
good luck

The price is too much different, you can pick a used BMW V12 from ebay for like 2000. or a local junk yard. Its putting it together. I guess it will be much easlier with a chevy motor. I just wanted a very authetic look. So if i pop the hood noone can tell its a kit car. I seen the cover sold by couple of companies, for chevy v8 but they dont look right. Need a BMW to get the nice look. the motor size is the same as a chevy 350. Im not that good at wiring and it needs 2 or 3 computers. I seen a cover made for the BMW v12 very nice looking and BMW are easy to maintain. If anyone has put one of these together can you send me, how did you do it??
