I am about to start building a kit once my tax return arives and would like to know a few things. I already have a Northstar 32V8 and its transmition so... the engine WILL be swaped. The kit I want to build is the ******* F512M, but the only place I have seen these offerd are on http://www.compositeeti.com/(C.E.T.I.) & http://www.ck3.com/(Ck3). Neither one of these companies do I trust, Ck3 I have herd very negitively about. As for C.E.T.I. have herd neither good nor bad feedback, but have emailed and recived nothing back, so thats no good. Since I cant find a reliable source for an F512M kit I would like to know if it is possible to use a 512 TR kit from say: Fancy Cars ( http://www.coolcustomcars.com ) and use an actual F512M hood, front bumber, rear grill and lights. If this is possible it it will be done and I would make molds to sell to others, unless someone knows were I can get a kit of it. Thanks for reading this I hope you can help me. J. Ervino |

Do not order from Ck3. Run fast, run far. If you still want to give money away, give it to me; I'll at least send you a nice thank you note! I'm sure that you can adapt the front end, and you probably wouldn't have to use a real (read: 'expensive') ******* part. What you should do is talk to someone around you who can do bodywork; it's not all that hard to make up a mold. Your pal, Meat.

What would I actully need to do to make a mold. You see I am in the rather classy part of Dallas,Tx and I know of a house that has a black F512M about 5 streets away from me, just seeing it all this time has made me want this car over all the other kits I have seen. I would like to know what has to be done to make these molds. I need this info so that I can see if the owner would possibly let me make molds off his car. If the process does not damage the original parts Im sure I can make him an offer to let me copy them. Other wise I will have to buy the original parts myself, make molds and sell the originals else where. I know of a Salvadge yard that processes only high end autos such as ******* Porsche and Lambo. I went there yesterday to inquire about the parts I need and they had no F512M there but said they could try to locate one for me and that they would call me Monday to let me know. I did how ever find two 355 spiders and another berlinetta, and since the F512M has the same tail, fog and signal lights I purchased those(I guess I HAVE to build it now). Yes they were a bit pricey :( {$685}, but I want it to look as nice & original as possible. I hope you all can help me. Thanks, J.E.

I definitely would NOT borrow your buddy's *******, and learn how to mold fiberglass off it. There are so many things that can go wrong, and I know you don't want to pay to have your friend's car repainted...especially since it's a *******. I have some experience molding parts, and it'd be very trick to mold that car without doing damage. Here's some references I'd recommend to learn on a cheap, uncomplicated piece...gradually building up to a task like this: http://www.rqriley.com/frp-foam.html http://www.fibreglast.com/infocenter.php?session=8169f442bb92b4dbe610a021665f7603&PHPSESSID=349a066771d041c5e3d12ea0ad478570 http://65.108.64.218/BWolff.htm http://www.markalexandermiller.com/TheCarFactory/top_secret.htm enjoy! Oh sorry if you misunderstod, I dident mean that I was actuly going to mold the peices my self I was going to have a shop with experience in the mater do it. I just wanted to make sure here by asking, that the used part wouldent be damaged. Once I knew if the part would be ok I would then ask the car owner and body shop about it. Either way if I buy my own or use his I will have it professionaly moulded. Thanks, J.E.

I have access to the 512/tr molds and met a guy that says he has the 512M molds not far from my house. If you are interested let me know and I will get back.

I would be very interested if you could obtain F512M pannels. Let me know the prices materials and get some pictures. If in fact I like what you have I would like to set up a place to meet.
