ok guys i am stuck,,i hav a gt 2.8L v6..i want more power..The biggest problem is that i live in the netherlands..droping a v8 is no answer(i cant do it,its the law)i can only change what was in it..but i can go bigger..(if a v6 comes out i cant put a bigger one in).Chevy's dont grow on tree's here so a twin cam 3.4 is out(none in holland) if i rebuild the 2.8 to 3.1 or 3.4 ohc what r the weak points in the engine??

I wouldn't recommend it if it is a daily driver, but you can pick up a turbo on e-bay for fairly cheap ($100)make sure you get one with a wastegate, you can fabricate turbo exhuast manifolds or buy them, run your tubing and oil lines and you can increase your power a bunch for under $400. Keep your boost low. Make sure your tranny can handle it and that your engine is healthy or you'll just blow up your engine. Many, many websites on how to install a turbo affordably. If you were going to get rid of the engine anyway, have a ball!

I am going with a 3.8s/c in mine , a friend oof mine has done 3 already with the 3.8s/c version out of a pontic bonneville i guess, he doneone for his daughter and one for his son anlong with 1 for a guy building a 355 kit, his daily driver has a northstar v8 but he said he prefers the 3.8s/c for daily over the northstar.
So if the 3.8 s/c is available to you might be a good choice for you?

well the research that i hav done is simple..screw the 60v6..even the twin cam(not that i can even get one).i think i should go with the buick 3.8l(turbo would be better)if i not mistaking it is a strong block from the (factory forged crank)..if i hav too i will order one from the states............
