Could someone tell me what the flange to flange width is on the rear axle of a 87-93 5 liter Mustang is?

Also does anyone have a diagram with the dimensions and positioning of the front and rear suspension pickup points for the same car?

Thanks

GavinR

I believe that the Mustang 8.8 is 59.25" from flange to flange, with 4-lug axles. The Exploder 8.8 is 59.5" from flange to flange, with 5-lug axles.

To convert a 4-lug rear to a 5-lug rear you can either buy new (and expensive) kits or axles to do so, or you can get two driver's side Ford Ranger axles (28T) from a wrecking yard...viola! 5-lug rear!

To convert a rearend to disk, you can get the Baer Racing conversion kit (I like it!), of the Ford Motorsports kit (the kit is part number M-2300-G8)

To convert the fronts to 5-lug, get 1982 Lincoln Continental front rotors.

Your pal,
Meat.

Thanks Meat

Now, does anyone have a diagram of the suspension pickup points? Your help is greatly appreciated.
