I'm trying to decide on buying a project car or just building a kit. I have seen a project car that I'm interested in. Someone used a Fiero and has the 355 body assembled on it. His only comments is that it drives good. The kit is also out of state. What do I need to be looking for here? Is there any way to have the car checked out without me having to fly to the state myself (something simular to http://www.carcheckers.com)?

I'm leaning toward building a kit instead of taking on someone else's project. I'm ok with mechanic work but no body experience. I have a friend who is good with body work, well all aspects of a car. I'm looking at a non-stretch F355 kit. Is it unrealistic for me to decide to do this or is this an easy enough workable project?
