1] What would you call the style of below: (I would like to know what to call what I want without mentioning a specific maker)

I like the Cabrolet here...
http://www.gatsbycars.com/ (the exception I have found to above)

...and Falcon here.
http://www.jbacars.co.uk/entry.htm

2] Any known problems with either of above mfgrs?

3] Recomendations as to other/better mfgrs to look at that produce styles similar to above?

4] JBA's donor car is a Sierra. I assume this is not the GMC Sierra (truck), but is a UK model (Ford?). If so, (being in the US) what US make/model would be a suitable substitution?

Thanks to all in advance. I hope to see more of you in the future.

Neoclassic.

The Sierra is the Mercury Merkur XR4Ti.

The Gatsby Cabriolet and the Griffin were designed in the U.S. Tom McBurnie (of Miami Vice Daytona Spyder fame) had a bit of a hand in designing the car. This car should still be available in the U.S.

Your pal,
Meat.

The main difference between the Merkur and the Sierra is the engine. XR4Ti runs a 2.3 turbo lump which weighs about half as much again as the 2 litre in England. Also the auto is well down on power compared to the manual. (140bhp to 175ish I think) Incidentally I had a Cosworth Turbo Sierra 4x4 in England, now that was a car!

Regards
