Porsche's 550 spyder is one of my favorite cars of all time. I have looked at vintage spyder, thunderranch and beck, and all of them use their own custom frame. I know Perry design used to make a model that used a stock VW chassis but have been unable to find out what happened to them. If anyone has any info it would be appreciated. Also, why isn't the 914 chassis used for anything cool like a spyder? Every replica based on a 914 looks like a 914 with bigger hips. It seems like there is a lot of potential their. If anyone has any info, again I would appreciate it.
