Hi. I live aboard my sailboat in Marathon, Florida. Recently I saw a car on the highway that looked like a golf cart. Golf Carts don't do 50 mph, so I got closer tosee waht it was. It clearly was VW powered, and it looke really cool. Any ideas what it might have been? Don't know if it was a kit. Thanks. Roger Mummah

Without a detailed description it would be hard to say what it was.
If it looked like a fiberglass tub with headlights it may have been a Myers Manx, a popular “Dune Buggy” back in the 60’s and 70’s. The Manx body fit on a shortened VW beetle chassis. There were also many variations by other builders but the Manx seemed to be the most popular.
