Hey meat,
Can you give me all the info available on viper kits? I saw that you refered to a small viper replica. Also, I have a neat design for a modern day cobra. Kind of a viper with a more retro cobra look. My problem is that I don't know what software I need or CAD(download free off of internet) and what else I need to do to build this vehicle. I believe I want to use a Z car(preferably with the 94" wheelbase) as my donor. It is light weight and I've heard v8 conversions aren't too expensive. I would also be interested in costs of materials.
Thanks,
Scott

What kind of info are you looking for? The guy who's building the mini-me Viper on a Miata is down San Diego way (I don't have his number, but I'm going down there next week), and there's a few other companies that make either convertible Viper replicas, coupes, or the RT/10s.

There's also the Viper parts guy (the same one who makes the Cobrette) in AZ who has some body parts for Vipers (although they're nowhere near inexpensive!).

You might also check around at the Best Buy stores; they switched out their Viper stereo displays for Cobra ones, and some of them still have the Viper bodies laying around...they could be had for cheap!

Also, there's a Cobra rebody that's supposed to be coming out soon that fits on the Mazda Miata...I'm still waiting on pictures so that I can put them up on my site!

Hope that helps!

Your pal,
Meat.
