Go to a news stand a get a copy of Kit Car Builder magazine. You will find ads there for some of the kit car companies. If you don't have any experience working on cars you are in over your head already. Find someone who works on cars who will let you hang around and learn. You will need space and tools to assemble a kit car. What do you have now and what skills do you have?

Most "kits" nowadays are not like the VW kits of the past where you would receive components in a box and a set of instructions. Anymore, the bodies are already on the chassis and you need to supply the drivetrain, electrical and suspension - and most manufacturers assume the buyer has a certain level of experience doing that. My suggestion is find a car that you like and can afford already built and learn how to fix that one on your own before stepping into something you have no experience with.
