There are about 60 companies manufacturing Cobra replicas or Cobra replica kits. On the internet, there are several sources of information that are geared specifically towards Cobras. This is a good board, but it's lightly-travelled.The first thing you want to figure out is what you want to do with the car when you finish it. Once you've determined this, you can narrow your choices to cars that fit into the category you're pegged for yourself. Then you need to research the company a bit, talk to owners, and - most importantly - sit in and drive the cars. Visiting the factory is a good idea, but with the internet, it's sometimes easier to get alot more feedback quickly from people who have dealt with the company recently. There's alot of scuttlebutt on the internet, some of it's good, some of it's bad.

I would avoid the hate sites, and the manufacturer-endorsed sites; there's no reason to listen to a bunch of company-line towing cheerleaders, they will not ever give you the right information. www.CobraForum.com is an unedited board; you'll get to see all kinds of posts about differing manufacturers. www.ClubCobra.com is an argument board, but it does still have some good info. www.CobraTrader.com is a work in progress...I'm always posting on other boards or helping other people out, so I never get finished with it!
