I have a 1929 MBZ Gazelle. I recently moved to TN and I need to tow my car from GA to TN. I want to rent a UHaul trailer, but they said that I need to know how much the car weighs (must be under 4000) before I can rent it. Their system does not go back to 1929, so they don't know how much it weighs. They told me to take it to a weigh station and have it weighed, BUT I need the trailer to haul. Does anyone have an idea how much it might weigh? It has a VW motor in it.
I need an answer like yesterday. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Candace,
Their system wouldn't take into account it's a kit car anyway. The year isn't based on what the car represents - it's based on the year of the chassis. Anyway, your car probably has a loaded weight of no more than 1700 pounds. The VW chassis and motor are about 900 pounds (if that), the body makes up the rest. No problem at all hauling with a 4K trailer. Good luck with the project!
