was wondering if there is a wiring harness you can buy for the kit car itslef or if you have to alter another one...please help it's the only thing stopping my new baby from running now...

Typically the stock VW is used in these cars, if you're on a VW frame. Any aftermarket generic dune-buggy type harness will work. Watson Streetworks and Painless Wiring are amoung the best.
