Maybe this is a dumb question but what is the difference between a kit car and a replica car(is there even a difference)Looking to buy a diablo replica or have one built. If I have one built who would be one of the best to go to.
Thanks...

The term 'kitcar' is ancient anymore. That was a catch-all phrase from the '70's and '80's when there were a slew of companies putting out kits that ranged from the truly awful to the reasonably well built. Unfortunately the term is still used for what can really be called component cars - and it usually carries a negative connotation. A 'replica' car is just that - a vehicle that mimics a regular production or experimental car (Lamborghini, Cobra, that sort of thing). A component car would be a vehicle like a Sterling, where the car is it's own design.

Can't recommend any particular builders offhand. Just do some research beforehand and attend one of the big kit shows on either coast during the year.
