This is my first post on a new forum... so hi all =D

well i got a free kitcar & all i know about it is its an Embasser...

If anyone has any info about the car i would love to know more about it. mine is quite modded by the last owner. Its VW Beetle based but he flipped the gearbox so it faces forward & bolted a ford crossflow in, to make it mid engined (i understand its just like the formula ford setup).

this pic is like mine but in better condition >< (i'll post some of mine if theres any interest)...

ITs very cool. How did you find out what it was? I have been involved with kits for 15 years and never heard of that one. Got some more pics?

I doubt you still look at this forum given the post count, but read the first post lol

The Original owner, Steve, does a lot of VB programming for me & made a throw away comment about having to dispose of this old car he had. He had contacted several breakers & at the time it would cost £50 to get rid of it. Being as he had built it, he felt a little upset that the car he made was not only about to be destroyed, but that he would have to pay for the privilege. So I agreed to take it off his hands as my next project in waiting, without ever seeing even a picture of it.

From what I can glean, Steve was a friend of the fiberglasser producing the shells & this car was made for him (so was made with a thicker gel coat & a little more fibreglass). A Mr Embeesea was the designer, hence the name of the make of the car (sometimes written as MBC). The model is a Chepeko (but that could be spelt wrong).

The Chepeko then became the Charger as a 2 + 2

I assume the car design was sold to Eagle cars after that as the charger appears on their web site.
