Hello all. My countach is having troubles with overheating. I am using a camaro 5.0L with stock radiator system. System is tight, but just not keeping it as cool as I need it to be.
Does any one have any suggestions?
Thanks!

1) First, do you have adequate airflow. ie opening to radiator(s).

2) Is the radiator(s) sealed. ie, no air is leaking past.

3) Is the thermostat working. Remove the thermostat, submerge in boiling water. At 212 deg. F the thermostat should FULLY OPEN!!!

4) Do you have an overflow tank. Is it at least half full of coolant.
The overflow tank is very important. It is a resovoir for the system to belch and then to pull coolant back into the system.

5) VERY VERY IMPORTANT. Are there any air pockets in the system. Has
the cooling system been belched. free of air.

6) Is the radiator cap working. It is designed to pressurize the system.

7) Does the car overheat while you are in motion, or just sitting
at a light. Does the temp guage just gradually creep up.

8) Do you have an oem water pump?

9) An oem water pump may not have adequate pumping capacity to push
water throughout the system.

10) Is your radiator a 2 core or 4 core.
