Hi my name is Lee Eagles
i have a chance to buy a 1972 invader GT for $1200 what i need to know is about what it will be worth after i restor it versus what i will pay for it.as it stands right now it will not need a lot of work it has a newly rebilt 1600

In my opinion, and it is just that....my opinion, the old Invaders are probably one of the ugliest old kits around. I have restored and re-sold many old kits and I wouldn't touch an Invader if it was given to me. Thats not to say that with alot of money and/or talent you can't make it unique. There is a guy on TheSamba in the dunebuggy forums who is restoring one right now.

If you are strictly building it for yourself I say do it. But as the other person noted (and I agree) They might be one of the ugliest VW kit cars ever. Do not expect to find many parts(if any) and do not expect high resale value.
