Hi I was wondering if anybody has some experience with 360 replicas? I saw that the extreme-sportscars.com guys from England seem to have build the most accurate one...but it's based on a Peugeot and I have no experience whatsoever with Pugs...???? But I heard the quality is really good (they started with 355s, then the 360 and as I saw on youtube they even do a Murcielago now), and there's a video on youtube that looks fantastic..check it out

yieks, that roadster one is far off!!! It's based on a tiny MR2...jutst have a look at the back, the overhang is all wrong. Still kind of cute, though, I love roadsters...I wonder if the other guys will do one. Their car looks spot on, only the motor sits at the wrong end of the car..hahahaha...

you are nuts. The DNA it as close as you will currently get. This is how off it really is
If you would like to read through 40+ pages of posts on DNA you can do so here. http://www.kitcarsforum.com/index.php?topic=7124.0 www.kitcar.ws |

Nuts? You need GLASSES my friend!!!!!!!Well, it might be that this DNA has almost the same measurements...but not the same proportions!!! The wheelbase of an MR2 is WAY shorter than the one of the 360....the same with the width of the windshield. If you look at both cars you will see that they extended the rear to match the right size... Sorry, this extreme 360 seems to be way closer. Funny it has the front engine...but I don't care. I want the right look...

so you feel roughly a 6 in wheelbase difference is WAY different or for that matter noticeable to the average person. I could point out just as many flaws in the Extreme as im sure you could in the DNA. I could start with thisback seats front engine Front wheel drive Front vents appear smaller Nice view of a trunk from the back. What it all comes down to is preference. If I was in the market I would get the DNA and have a custom chassis built. I think its just a much more ***y car. if I wanted a car with a roof I could think of many other kits I would build besides the Extreme www.kitcar.ws

well, I mentioned the front wheel drive myself and I don't have any problems with that. THe sounds comes from the exhaust...On their website extreme-sportscars.com I saw that they have a conversion kit that makes it a 2-seater in minutes with the original 360 looks...and there's also pictures of a red 360 that has a faked engine in the trunk...so this looks way better. Plus it gives you the chance to have a 4 seater or lots of trunk room if you want. I like this idea! The vents...well, I don't see any difference???? They say everything was moulded from an original 360 and that you can even use genuine bumpers on their car... about the DNA...6 inches in the wheelbase is A LOT!!!! Well, I think I made my decision...but thanks anyways for the comments. I want the closest look..

Hay guys I to am a fan of the 360 and I agree with both of your opinions however the extreme is a buitiful looking car and can be converted into a rearengine, from what I heard. But the question is does extreme ship turn keys to the US, and if not how can you get your hands on a Peugeot to build a kit yourself. My understanding is that Peugeot aren't able to be shiped to the us. If you know please let me know thank you.

As far as I know you will not make an extreme rear engine. you can get a fake engine to make it look like such. If you set on a Extreme have one shipped here and get a rear engine tube chassis built www.kitcar.ws |

Raymond- I heard some people will import the Pug without the motor and transmission. This way it seems to be declarable as a frame or so...then afterwards they will put in another motor and tranny (US-made). Extreme ships kits to the US, I don't know about turnkeys but if they would be right hand drive I guess...

Extreme will do a LHD turnkey (The french drive on the left too) but there is still the issue of needing to import without the engine. You will need to talk to them about the issues with that.Raymond & Carfanatic. Feel free to PM me if you want any info on the extreme. I was at his workshop yesterday aft picking some parts up & drooling over the new Murci rep being built & his original murci. The Extreme club is new, but for anyone interested in the UK we will be at Stoneleigh kit show with some extreme 355/360 reps including a stradale. Theres a good chance extreme will be displaying in the halls too.
