I read that the ******* 250 California Spyder from the movie Ferris Bueller's Day was based on a MGB platfrom, first of all is this true and second of all is the company still around ? if not are any of the kit cars or kits still around or are any other companies making a 250 California Spyder kit

thanks

Hey there .

If im not mistaken they were built by Modena Design and Development of El Cajon California. I am pretty sure they are no longer in business

To be honest I have not. Your best bet if to keep your eyes open and check out ebay. I have seen more rare kit cars on ebay then any other place.

Hi there,

250 California spyder in ferries bueller's Day off was a modena design kitcar. They had a number of them made but all the detailed shots was of the real thing (DVD commentary + wasted childhood = ME).

There is a company out there called precision engineering (calspyder) and last I knew they had just moved their production but was still very active.

Surf the net and you should get lucky.
