hi, my name is kev. i live in the u.k. i was going to build my own murcielago body kit (shell) but i bought 1 off of ebay. i thought thast this is a faster way, and if it is not accurate i can just edit it to look more accurate. i have a few queries. i also bought a ford escort, an old 1.1) i was wondering if i can basically strip the ford and put the parts into my murcielago. 2) or if i could strip it and edit the chassis to a murcielago 1 and then attatch the murcielago shell to it. the problem with with number 2 is that the enging would be at the front, unless i put it where the back seats would be. as you can see i need a little advice and help. i should have considered this before i bought the murcielago shell!! please reply and advise, thanks, kev. |

kev again. i dont mind putting money into it. but i would prefer to use old parts for now, to get the murcielago into basic shape, and then i can upgrade the performance of it in the future. and i am going to get the best interior. i have seen too many replicas with an amazing outside, but a rubish interior. anyway any response to this post will help .thanks

Hi Kev Easiest budget way of doing it is use a vw gearbox with adaptor plate to take your ford escort engine or stick a pinto engine in.This will enable you to upgrade in the future. Does your kit have inards? as I used a guy in birmingham who was quite reasonable for some fibreglassing a few years ago; can pass his details on if you like. some old lambo replicas did use the vw beetle as a donor I dont know what they were like though? I am sure the lambo guys on here can help. Regards
