Hello all, Just commencing a major revamp of my nova sterling, and its been decided the transaxle and crappy bug suspension has to go along with the beetle floorpan. Ive been offered a renault transaxle from a early renault espace 2.1 turbo diesel people carrier, all the information i can find on the espace says the transaxle is a 5-speed renault 25 unit in which case it will be a good old UN1 (bombproof), anyone know if they modified the gearing etc for the espace, the little tab with the transmission code is missing from the housing or I'd just look it up.... Im going to be hooking it up to a rover v8 (buick all alloy v8).... toodles
