Hello,
I understand it is very difficult to fabricate a fiberglass body
but am interested in the cost and the process of making one. I believe the Tuscan R produced by TVR is one of the sleekest production cars made today and think it would make a great car to replicate. If anyone has any info or websites to refer me to I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Scott

I've written a primer on the different methods and posted it on my site, under "body mold" but I haven't actually done it myself. It should answer all the basic questions. For more detailed help, Brian Wolff (see his scratch built Diablo in the Projects section) is the man to talk to. In general ,it won't be too expensive, about $1000 or so for the mold and body together. I plan on adding at least one layer of kevlar into the door and roof skins which will bring the cost up some. It runs about $30 a sq yard, wich is about double the cost of the conventional weave stuff.
