I need some information on registration for custom and kit cars.

Basically I need to know in the most details how registration works for kit cars and custom cars. I have found some bits of information for kit cars, which asks for bills/receipts of the manufacturer and stuff. But what if I make a custom car? If it can help, I live in Florida.

THanks for anyone who will give me info!

A car built by someone with a custom chassis, using various new parts. A CUSTOM car...I do not think I need to describe this unless you do not know what custom means

NO you do need to explain. Because "custom" can be taken many ways. One can consider a Honda with a Turbine a "custom" car. As far I my knowledge goes is it a complete custom (chassis, body, etc) you need to have all reciepts. The vehicle will also need to be equiped with all safety equipment required by Florida Law, And inspected by a member of the FHP.

IF it is a kitcar that was based of a production car(fiero, MR2, VW, etc) and you have the original title(and VIN is still intact) that is all you need.

Also it would have been very easy call your local RMV/DMV in Florida and ask them.
