My husband wants a replica porsche speedster. I just want to know if there is a resale market for this type of car when he get the "sports car" bug out of his system. I'll surprise his with the car, but don't want to keep it forever. Can anyone tell me if you can resell these cars. We are in San Diego area.

Yes there is a resale market, recently there was a good action where a fair few sold. Most commonly I see them advertised in Old car trader both the magazine and the website. www.classiccartraderonline.com

Germany has a huge market they like their bugs but it would require shipping. Some classic car magazine also have classified ads where you sometimes find them.

They are not hard to get rid of if you do a fair job building them.

Good luck with your venture.

When buying any replica or kit car the best thing to do is simply watch the market for awhile before buying. Speedster replicas go through this site quite often and also are on E-Bay as well. You just have to remember most of the Porsche Speedsters are VW based so they are not competeing in the same market as say a Cobra. Personally I wouldn't spend over $20,000 on one fully loaded. Your chances of getting that money back out of it are at best limited and you would have it for sale for awhile. Check out this one on E-bay now. I would say this a fair example listed right now...http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsche-356-Speedster-Replica-No-Reserve_W0QQitemZ280006826271QQihZ018QQcategoryZ7251QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
