Yes, either a replica or a kit of a c5 that I can price and plan to assemble.

Maybe REBODY? ("C4" plus "your kit" > C5)

There used to be a C4 upgrade kit which would make it look just like a C5 Corvette. However the kit isnt all that great i have seen how they look in person and it look very fake and ugly from a mile away and by the time you get your hands on the 3k kit and a corvette in mint contion do all the work like kitcarguy said you could have had a real C5 even with some basic mods. However if your looking for some fun do something much diffrent than most people i highly remmend the PISA ZR2 kit based on a Fiero chassis. yea its a short wheel base but how many corvettes can you point out that is mid engined?. whats even cooler is the price and all the little suff like interior packs and so on and it shouldn't cost no more than 10k total including a V8 swap. why are repilcas so expensive?! |

i have to agree also.. iv only seen one C5 kit that was based on a C4.... and it looked like crap... it kept the c4 "square" headlights and the c5 has rounded headlight covers.. also the door pull was different and it just generally looked like crap... the kit and wheels will run you like $3-4,000 and a c4 with cost another $5,000 plus paint and all that you might as well buy a real c5 (i found 15 C5s for sale on autotrader for under $15,000) it couldnt even save u on insurance to build a kit since it would still be a corvette... so just buy a used one....Matt '96 Jaguar XJ6(burgundy) '95 Mazda Miata M '93 Dodge Stealth ES '83 Jaguar XJ6(hunter) '80 Mercedes-Benz 300CD '77 MG B '76 MG B |

Thanks fellas for your response, the only problem is, I live in Australia and to buy a c5 here you are looking around the 100k aussie. I do have thoughts of going to the US and buying a c5 there but iam looking at all possibilities to have one. Pantera, do you have photos of the PISA ZR2 to look at, would like to see the alternative.Cheers

100,000AUD = $74,000USDeither way your better off renting a shipping container (standard containers are 20ft and 40ft) a corvette is 15 feet long... you could easily fit a corvette in the standard 20ft shipping container and i just sent for some shipping quotes from the east coast of the US to australia ill let you know what they say... and if they are selling for almost $74,000 i would go ahead and rent the 40ft one and ship two... one for you and one to sell 2 nice C5 vettes - $50,000 shipping - $4,000 misc - $4000 (tax, insurance, whatever) ... and those are pretty liberal figures... last time i checked i think a shipping container from LA to Japan was under $2000. but also i dont know anything about australian laws about importing cars... anyway... hope this was some sort of help Regards Matt '96 Jaguar XJ6(burgundy) '95 Mazda Miata M '93 Dodge Stealth ES '83 Jaguar XJ6(hunter) '80 Mercedes-Benz 300CD '77 MG B '76 MG B |

Pisafierohq.com/ hope it works if not go on to google then type in "Pisa fiero" there should be a link. not only that but there is a Lamborghini Jalpa style kit a Detomaso Pantera looking kit called the scropion and there is an F40 lookalike and an awsome XUV kit. all based on a fiero. why are repilcas so expensive?! |
