I see them for sale all the time on ebay in all different conditions and configurations; however, I would like to build one for my own. I want a Fiberfab Jamaican. From what research I have done, I have found it safe to conclude that Fiberfab no longer produces the Jamaican; for what reason, I don't know.

Does anyone know if there is another kit manufacturer that has taken the initiative to reproduce this vehicle? Also, regarding the configuration; I have seen this vehicle configured as a rear/mid-engine vehicle, utilizing a VW chassis and drivetrain, as well as a front-engine/rear wheel drive vehicle. Ideally I would like to use a small block V8 in the front, powering the rear wheels. What chassis is recommended to use in a configuration like this? Also, would this chassis be a simple bolt-up procedure to the body?

no it is not produced anymore. There is a ebay auction going on right now for a jamaican body you might want to check it out.
