kinginc 37 Posts	Posted - June 06 2006 : 11:05:59 AM I'm new to posting but I have been around off and on for a minute but this kitcar thing has really been itching me. I see so much potential with this. My question is can you produce kitcars from fiberglass from a kitcar? Kitcars are produced from the mold or plug right? Can you take a fiberglass kitcar and produce another one? Why aren't the murc roadster very accurate? Are interiors done the same way as the body I did a little reasearce but it was kinda confusing so can anybody help me find info on how to create a plug or mold from a small scale car. I really need step by step instructions so it would be easier to comprehend. I would prefer using a more highly detailed small scale car to get better results if possible. Thanks for your help.
noelc Malta 38 Posts	Posted - June 06 2006 : 12:04:17 PM well we are on the same boat cause that was i have in mind to great my own porsch but it may take same long time to let out the fainal product remember that you first u have to work out the body from wood or a handy material like that after make the real form direct from it with fibere glass and than start to build the real body but you have to remember that to have to fit all incuding interiors and sub frame of the same body work out and all may be ficsed step by step for example to creat a door you may be in needto use 2 or three defrent moulds to reach your ideas. hope we can help our selves in a dream that can became realty. hope to cu around again noelc ncs
kitcarguy 535 Posts	Posted - June 06 2006 : 5:18:24 PM IF my mind serves me correctly the Merc (TG kit) was built by eye and not from a original Merc, Mor of a rendition of the Merc and not a replica. And as of now thats the only one that seems to be around Or variations of it. www.kitcar.ws
