Does anyone here know of any 3D modeling software that could be used to design a car body and not too difficult to learn?
I would like to design and build my own car body in a 3D modeling environment in order to have it milled out on a CNC machine.
I would like to design something to utilize an existing platform, possibly an MR2.
Thanks

Rick

There's quite a few modeling programs around, RAMS 3D and ArtCAM come to mind first. ArtCAM is the more powerful of the two (and costs 8 times as much) but it's modeling capabilities are almost limitless. There is a very steep learning curve as with most programs that deal in 3D stuff, so they may not fit a 'not too difficult to learn' category.

Try "GMax" (Game Max) - it's FREE and have 90% ot the modelling features of the 3DS Max (exluding "Render" options and some animation tools).
