Hi my name is Dave .
I've just started my new project witch is a Lamborghini Murchelago but i can't seem to find any Plans so i can build my own frame . If anyone can help me out that would be great . I'm willing to pay for them as long as the price is not to high . I would'nt mind haveing a bit of a chat to other Murchelago builders as well .

I have been told that the Diablo frame is the same as the Murcielago frame , Dose anyone know if this is true ?

Can you show us the 3D model which you used to get the measurements for the wooden sections? If possible, can you show renderings of the 3D model (or shots of your buck shown here) from several angles (side/front/rear/top)? I want to compare your body with the original Lamborghini Murcielago. The current shape is very similar to the "Triangle G" kit.

The wood structure only gave me the basic shape , I had to make a lot of modifications and do alot of working out from pictures myself . Compareing it to the triangle G all i can say is take another look . The roof is round not flat the bonet has a bend on it not flat the back part is the right hight were the triangle G bogs down at lest 100 mills . If you ask me every kit out there for sale are all the same mold , One person built the mold and everybody other company bought one and made copys of it . They all bog down in the arse end and have flat roofs and bonnets .

Yeah, you are right. Your car seems to be more close to the original one instead of the TG kit. Do you use real Murci taillights and rear grills? And what is the 3D program you use to get the wooden sections? "Silo", "Hexagon" or similar?

Yes the plug has been built with all the original lights , grills and windows . The 3D program i use is GameSpace , Nothing to sophisticated .

Hey i need an all round opinion , I would like to know if people prefer a 1 piece body or cut into panels . Please drop your opinion anyone .

I have a freind that builds lambos for a living but did not have a plug for this one . I decided to build one for myself , Hes very happy with my work and now i'm working for him full time . All the lambos are built on the original chassis and are fitted with the new injected 6 litre HSV gen4 V8s . Puting out about 500 horsepower . So if your realy interested keep in touch .

Hey Dave,

The project is looking good. I recently overhauled the powerhouse website and now have the pictures of your work up. Please keep me posted on the progress.

Well if you ask me building any kitcar is going to be hard work , this is my first kitcar as well , If your going to put so much time into building a car you may as well build the car you wan't . Theres always the option of buying a shell if you don't think you can build one . I've just put this in putty and have started sanding it , Hoping to get paint on it in a week .

Panels. Dont do one piece. For various reasons. If by chance it gets hit do you want to be able to replace a section or two, or the whole body. So many good reasons to do it in sections.

Looks very good by the way.

Probably he wonder did you made the Murcielago model directly in the GameSpace or not. Judge from the topology it's a 3D game model, probably taken from XBOX game ("Project Gotham Racing", "Forza Motorsport" or so).

Hi. I am new to all this as well...was wondering, the shell you're making right now, is that going to be body of the car itself or is that going to be the mold pattern? I'm new to fiberglassing so please bear with me. if that is going to be the shell of the car and not a mold, then you would be able to separate that from the wood frame you made. if you need to build another shell, would you be using the same wood frame of just use that for the mold?

thanks

Hey guys
Yea i made the 3D structure myself in gamespace , I wanted to see what it was going to look like before i waisted my time on something that looked wrong . What i have built is called a plug , Off the plug i will be casting the mold in about 20 peices but so it can be bolted together as one , That way you get an opposite of the plug (Negative) , Then you make the shell off that . The shell should look exactly like the plug and smooth ready for paint . You can cast as many shells as you wan't from the negative .
