I'm new here but felt the need to join just to get the word out. If you are part of another kit car forum or otherwise, spread the word. The Ebay vehicle below is a scam. I made the mistake of buying this car for $55,000 a couple of months ago and when the car arrived it was a disaster.

Heres the ebay link

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lamborghini-Diablo-Replica-Kit-Car-Magazine-feature-car_W0QQitemZ4627523988QQcategoryZ7251QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Upon delivery

The battery was dead and wouldn't hold a charge.
Once I got it running it made screaching noises and smelled of burning belt or something.
The car is 2 different colors as if someone tried to paint it burgundy when it was an original lambo color.
The paint is all dimpled and wavy.
The windows don't roll up without manual assistance and don't stay up.
The drivers door doesn't close all the way most of the time.
The Engine bogs out and kills if you try to give it gas.
You have to pump the crap out of the gas pedal to get it to start.
The rear wing isn't tight to the back end and lifts about 1 1/2 inches off the car.
The drivers seat isn't bolted down in the left front corner of the seat.
The guy who delivered the car said if you look under it it looks like someone spot welded the front end on, and it's ready to fall off.
The windshield is in uneven and is just held in by a ton of window caulk, no window seal/trim.
The rims are losing the chrome, it's flaking off.
The dash cover is lifting off.
The car has alot of touch up paint on it.
The roof has a crack in it.
and on and on.

The dealer stated it's value at $60000 and he even brought in a third party appraiser to appraise the car which my credit union wanted before they borrowed me money for this car and it turned out that he was a friend of the dealership owner and they both lied and falsified the appraisal documents. I researched the car and everything about the car being on the kit car magazine cover is true. It was built by The Car Factory in Florida and the guy does good work, but this car had to have been beat on and possibly in an accident.

The car is in my garage right now. I threatened to sue the dealer and he wired me all my money accept the shipping which I'm working on getting now that I've got leverage over him. This car isn't worth $10000.

So the car is in your garage right now and not at the dealer that was auctioning it last week? Would you mind taking some photos of the car and the bad spots since its in your garage? I would love to see this.

The proof is in the pudding. Lets see the pics of that car in your garage. Photos of the paint and caulking would be nice.

The car was picked up yesterday by some hick and his wife/girlfriend. He loaded on a single, rusty car hauler which was too narrow and he ended up scratching the side of the car with the trailer fender and the front end lip of car got scraped because his trailer was too high.

I took some pictures where you can tell the car is a different color, but I didn't have any close ups of it taken of all the problems. you might be able to see that the car is in rough shape. I'm not home so I can't load the pictures right now.

Thats cool . I got some info from the Car factory. Apparently that car has not been in his possesion for some time. He sold it some time ago. The Car factory does some very good work from what I can tell. And they would not have been featured in many industry magazines for several years if they didnt.

Sorry you got a bad car. Hope you dont give up on this industry.

I did all my research on The Car Factory and the car and was pretty confident that I was getting an awesome car until it arrived. I love the Diablo, but they're tough to come by and pretty darn expensive for a nice one.

Well the car factory is very good. And you didnt buy it directly from them right? you got it from the dealer? The car factory told me they sold the car, so it went from the car factory, to someone else, to that dealer, to you, and will be going elsewhere. It very well could have got its problems from the person the car factory sold it to.

I hope you can find another car soon.

I don't have a problem with the car Factory. I know that he must be pretty good or he wouldn't have so many cars on the covers of magazines he does.

Yeah I seen this. Also lets make it clear that the Car Factory has nothing to do with this sale. they do not own this car anymore. The sold it before the first post was made and the person purchased the vehicle.
